How to spend 8 hours in Amsterdam..

Hi Everyone,
Last week my sister asked us to come along on a  spontaneous trip to Amsterdam and we couldn’t say no to that! We’ve been in Amsterdam a few times (check out my previous blogposts herehere & here) .

Amsterdam has a cool vibe which translates into cute and trendy places to eat, drink & shop!
We traveled to Amsterdam by car, which coming from Belgium is more or less a 2 hrs drive. We didn’t want to lose too much time so we had breakfast on the go.

We arrived Amsterdam and went straight to De Bijenkorf ‘s top floor where we had a glass of bubbles to start our day right. The Holiday season and my Bday is coming up so I was in a little festive mood (hence the glass of bubbles !) You  can find different café’s & restaurants on their top floor + a rooftop terrace but since It was pretty cold that day (3 °C)  they closed the terrace.

First up on the agenda was shopping. I browsed at De Bijenkorf and wasn’t really planning on buying anything until I stopped at Jo Malone’s counter.  That’s where it all went terribly wrong and where I did some credit card damage , hihi. Leave a comment below if I should do a mini haul from !

After all the shopping we got hungry and decided to head to the 9 straatjes ditrict to grab a bite to eat. We opted for a light lunch at Toos & Roos is very inexpensive and you get massive portions (score!) I went for the goat cheese sandwich and the BF went for the full option sandwich (which included bacon, ham, lettuce, …) .

When in Amsterdam, you just have to do some touristy things ! We  walked around and took in all the beauty which Amsterdam had to offer. The canal houses are just soooo stunning and I couldn’t help myself imaginary choosing which house would be mine if I ever win the lottery .
Time flies when you’re having fun. After a fun (short) day it was already time to leave for Belgium.  Before heading back to our car though I had to stop at the nearest Starbucks to get my holiday season red cup of course!

Thank you Amsterdam, you were great and we will be back!
