STAYCATION : Why you will never want to leave Hotel L'échiquier Opéra Paris by M Gallery

Hi Everyone,
I’m back from Paris and whilst I’m writing this post I can’t stop thinking about what an amazing weekend we had. Everything was more than perfect : The hotel, the location, the weather, the company… This is seriously how I want every weekend.

It had been 4 years since I last traveled to Paris, but this time I really felt for the city of lights.
Our hotel was Hotel L’échiquier Opéra Paris by M Gallery and here’s why you will want to book it for your next stay in Paris :

If you like to be close to a Metro stop, than this hotel has got you covered. It’s near metro Bonne Nouvelle (only a  5 min walk).

You like to have restaurants, bars in the proximity ? Well, than opt for this hotel too because you are only a 2 min walk away from road Bonne Nouvelle where you’ll find shops like Satrbucks, McDonalds, Mamie Burger, La Croissanterie, … or if you like to spent a bit more money than you can opt for : Zazza , Richer, …

You want to come shopping in Paris for a weekend ? Well, then you’ll love this hotel as well because you are a 10 min walk away from  Printemps &  Lafayette

You want a hotel that feels like home &  where the staff is super friendly and makes you feel like a VIP? Well, than choose Hotel L’échiquier Oéra Paris !

Why you will want to pay a bit more ?! Every corner in this hotel has been decorated with taste. You’ll find quirky accessories like the blue velvet sofa with palmtree in the middle of the foyer. The golden tiled bar, the old restored elevator…  Also, this hotel was hands down the cleanest hotel  I have EVER stayed in with the most beautiful bathroom EVER! When I walked in to my room, I was greeted with typical Parisian large windows, slippers with the M gallery logo on and the softest bathrobe. I felt right at home.

Let’s talk breakfast. First of all I must say that I played with the idea of having breakfast in our hotel room (room service is available) , but the breakfast area was just too lovely not to attend. When we entered the restaurant/bar area we were greeted and could choose where we wanted to sit.  I inspected what I wanted to eat and opted for pancakes, croissant, cheese and bread and fresh fruit. Let’s just say that I was very hungry  haha.  The food was constantly refilled and we were asked what we would like to drink. I opted for fresh juices and a latte macchiato.

Throughout my stay there are 2 things that I felt were very typical for Hotel L’échiquier Opéra Paris by M Gallery.
First thing : every staff member was super friendly and willing to help.
The second thing was that this hotel is mega clean. It’s very well maintained and beyond gorgeous décor-wise.

We traveled to Paris by car and reserved a parking spot at Parking Chauchat Drouot  (Interparking) which was the closest to the Hotel (besides the Hotel parking , which was a bit more pricey) . We paid 48 Euros for 2 days.

Thank you Hotel L’échiquier Opéra Paris & Tan-Dem press agency for making my stay memorable!

Stay tuned for my next blogpost where you can follow me around Paris for 24 hours!
